Loretta Salvagno is new Vice-President at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences

(sf) Loretta Salvagno is a new member of the University Directorate. The Rector, Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Krause, today handed over the deed to the Vice-President for the field of Business and Personnel Administration in the Rector's office in the presence of the deans, heads of department and representatives of the board. The graduate in business administration was elected by the University Council and confirmed by the Senate. She takes over from the former Chancellor Harald Wellbrock at the end of his term in office.

"After our initial talks together, I am sure that the University Council has appointed a new Vice-President in Ms Salvagno who, due to her wide-ranging expertise and experience, will be well able to meet the expectations of those associated with our university", said the Rector.
The 49-year old has more than 20 years of experience in tertiary education and previously held management positions in auditing services and law, personnel administration and development, purchasing and outside means. She was lastly engaged as head of department for finances, organisation and planning at Cologne University of Applied Sciences with great success.

She is looking forward to her new challenge with motivation and commitment: "I hope that I can forge direct contacts to the faculties in the coming weeks. We can then find, in joint dialogue, how we are able to fulfil the respective expectations as far as possible in an optimum manner", she declared.
