Online poll to establish what users require

(sf) The university library ran an online customer poll from 18th May to 10th June 2009 in cooperation with the Institute for Information Science at Cologne University of Applied Sciences. The poll was addressed at current, former and future users of the university library. The aim was to find out which new services would be useful and how high (or low) the level of satisfaction is with those on offer at present. Praise and criticism were welcome in equal measure.
All those who left an e-Mail address during the poll were able to participate in a raffle for five gift vouchers for the Goethe-Buchhandlung bookshop. The first prize, a gift voucher worth 50 Euro, was handed over to the winner, Martin Donfoue Temgoua, by the head of the university library, Michael Uwe Möbius. Martin is in his 4th semester at the Faculty of Electro-technology at Düsseldorf UAS. During further talks, it transpired that Martin would much appreciate longer opening hours because he finds the university library a good place to concentrate on his work.
The results of the customer poll were revealed on the university library's homepage at the start of the Winter semester 2009/2010 and displayed as a small exhibition in the university library rooms.
